Pedigree

 Nick was whelped in the first litter as Festiva. He was the puppy I did not want to keep! New to whippets, why should I keep a male! Thankfully, no one was interested in a male show puppy and the story starts here. Nick was to become a multiple specialty BISS winner. Almost won the whippet National Specialty twice (Select #1). He has sired almost 40 Champions to date.

We almost lost Nick at the Eastern specialty in 1996. He accidentally escaped from his x-pen right before the breed and ran! I flew across country and was there in hours. After 2 ½ days of searching, sleeping on the grass in a park, consulting a psychic for guidance we received the call that he was spotted in a yard. Upon our arrival we found a very disoriented, exhausted, hungry and very sore boy. I was just thankful that he was alive! After that Nick never left home again without me.
